Fabulous Friday

Fabulous Friday is Back after a brief hiatus! Here's what I'm loving this week:

This book:
The Fortune Cookie Chronicles by Jenny 8. Lee. So good- but leaves me craving Chinese food. Book love post to come soon!

This artist:

Michael Buble (how do I get a little accent on that e?) I can't get enough. If you've never heard of him, go ahead and type his name into a Pandora station, sit back and relax! This also makes for great background dinner music!

This quote:

"Aim above morality. Be not simply good, be good for something." -Henry David Thoreau. I was in the New England area this week, and drove past Walden Pond (that is the pond right?) and remembered how much I loved the transcendentalists.

This purse:
Love Party Top Zip from Guess. $75. So classic!

This Twitterer:
@TweetingBar Short, simple and entertaining.

This Show:
HBO's Hung. I have only seen one episode, but will be watching the next. I think it's on after TrueBlood, which is even better!

This Restaurant:
Chick-fil-A

Why? Put on your best cow suit and get some free Chick-fil-A food on Cow Appreciation Day this Friday, July 10.

Show up at any Chick-fil-A restaurant anywhere in the US fully dressed like a cow, from head-to-toe, and get a free combo meal good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you're not that ambitious to appear in full cow gear, come with a cow printed hat, vest, purse, or something like that and you'll get a free entree. Easy enough.

Go to the Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day website has the details. You can even get tips for your costume with their costume starter kit. Just cut out the designs and tape them to your shirt or a hat. (via Monica Walton, examiner.com)

That's all for now folks, have a great weekend!
Live & Love,

Lauren

P.S. While looking for an image for HBO's Hung, I ran across this little number. Totally PG- it's William Hungs audition for American Idol forever ago. Haven't seen it in awhile, and it just makes me smile!
