Etsy Love- Stereotypes of America

So I thought about waiting to share this on the 4th, but it's just too much fun and I couldn't wait. I'm definitely proud to be an American (specifically, "Horses, etc.") and you should be too! This print is titled "Stereotypes of America" and just for the record, was created by an Californian.

Two Years Ago Today

Two years ago today I was saying yes to the most wonderful man who created most beautiful proposal on Catalina Island.

And in about a month we get to welcome our son into the world. I am so excited to begin the next step of our journey together, Mark! I Love you!

Spoil Yourself and Support the March of Dimes!

I know I've mentioned before my new little part-time business venture of selling jewelry. I've been brainstorming ways of helping my (and your!) favorite charities by selling bamboopink. I recently blogged (over at my sister-site) on how you can support your favorite charity, cause or organization by hosting a virtual trunk show- details here.

But I want to help the charities near and dear to my heart, too and NOW. So here's what I came up with.
I'm due with our first baby (it's a boy!) on July 20th, so about a month from today! Naturally, babies and the hope for healthy babies is on my mind.

In honor of this, I'm going to donate 15% of all online sales made before the birth of our baby to the March of Dimes. All you have to do is purchase a piece of bamboopink jewelry through my replicated site:  If I have an overwhelming response (more than $2000 in sales) I will donate ALL of my commission for this time frame.

Simply visit the link, and click "Shop." Find something you like, and buy it! I'll be able to track all sales, and I'll be happy to report the amount of the donation after the birth of the baby!

Thanks in advance for supporting the March of Dimes!

Baby Shower!

My Mom and Grandma threw us a shower this weekend, with a lot of help my from future sister-in-law, Jen. It was so much fun! There was a aqua and tangerine theme throughout, great food, funny games, and a little creativity along the way... Here are the details in pictures:
Invitations designed by Hostess with the Mostess and created through Polka Dot Designs

White Chocolate Cupcakes created by Designer Desserts in Valparaiso, Indiana.
They also created the groom's cake at our wedding (as pictured in this post)

One game had guests guessing the type of baby food in these unlabeled jars. No smelling or tasting!
When it was time to announce the answers, Rambo and I had to taste them all! Here we are with peas.
Clearly not our favorite.

While guests socialized and watched gift opening they created a scrapbook page with either a letter A-Z or a number 1-10. I'm compiling them into an alphabet and numbers book for the baby created by loved ones!
Here I am at 34 1/2 weeks. Nearly there!

We can't wait!
Thanks to everyone who helped put on the shower for us, and for all of those who could make it! It was beautiful!Photobucket
